Kasia: Dan! It’s eleven o’clock. Are you planning to get up today?
Dan: It’s Saturday. Sleeping in is my favourite hobby.
Kasia: Well, I’ve made a plan. Bike ride at twelve, lunch at the market, the new exhibition at four, and dinner with Marta and Piotr at eight.
Dan: That’s not a weekend. That’s a business trip.
Kasia: Come on, we spent all of last weekend on the sofa. I want to make the most of the good weather.
Dan: What good weather? Look outside.
Kasia: Oh no. It’s pouring! The forecast said sunshine.
Dan: The forecast also said I’d be productive this week. Never trust the forecast.
Kasia: Very funny. Okay, no bike ride. But the exhibition is indoors, so that still works.
Dan: Kasia, I’ve had five meetings a day all week. My social battery is completely flat. I need to recharge before I can talk to anyone.
Kasia: So you don’t want to see Marta and Piotr?
Dan: I do! Just… not after three other activities. Can we drop something?
Kasia: Fine. What if we skip the market and cook lunch at home instead? It’s cheaper, too.
Dan: Now you’re speaking my language. And then?
Kasia: The exhibition at four — it’s only an hour — and we invite Marta and Piotr here instead of going out.
Dan: Here? Perfect. Then I don’t even have to change out of my tracksuit.
Kasia: You do have to change out of your tracksuit.
Dan: Fair enough. And we play board games instead of going to a noisy restaurant?
Kasia: Deal. But tomorrow morning we go for that bike ride, rain or shine.
Dan: Rain or shine? Let’s say… shine.
Kasia: Dan!
Dan: Okay, okay. Tomorrow at ten. I’ll even set an alarm.
Kasia: Two alarms.
Dan: You drive a hard bargain.
