Dimitri: Lena, it’s eleven o’clock. Why are you still here?
Lena: Why are you still here? You’re polishing the same glass for the fifth time.
Dimitri: I can’t sleep. Tomorrow at nine, Victoria Blaze walks through that door with three cameras. Three!
Lena: I know. I’ve seen every episode of Kitchen Rescue. Twice. I’m terrified she’ll taste my soup, throw the spoon on the floor and shout „This is a disaster!” on national television.
Dimitri: She only does that to bad soup.
Lena: Very reassuring, thank you.
Dimitri: Look, I invited her for a reason. Half the tables are empty every night. I really hope that after the show we’ll be fully booked for months.
Lena: Me too. But what if she wants to change everything? She always paints the walls grey. Grey! Like a hospital.
Dimitri: She can paint the walls pink for all I care. But one thing stays: the name. This is Grandma Eleni’s. My grandmother opened it in 1979, and she’d come back as a ghost if I changed it.
Lena: And I wish she would keep the moussaka on the menu. It’s Grandma’s recipe. It’s the only thing people write nice reviews about.
Dimitri: She’ll love the moussaka. Everybody loves the moussaka. Have you been practising, by the way?
Lena: Practising what?
Dimitri: Looking calm on camera. I saw you in the mirror this afternoon, smiling at yourself.
Lena: That was my professional face! It says, „I am a confident chef.”
Dimitri: It says, „I’ve just seen a mouse.” Speaking of animals — where’s Paprika?
Lena: The cat is at your sister’s, as we agreed. If the cameras find a cat in the kitchen, our TV career is over before it starts.
Dimitri: Good. And the fridge door?
Lena: Still opens on its own. If only we’d bought a new one last year! I can just imagine it — she opens the fridge, the door falls off, and that’s the clip everyone shares online.
Dimitri: Knowing my luck, it’ll go viral. „Owner fights fridge — and loses.”
Lena: Honestly though, Dimitri — whatever happens, I hope we’ll still be us afterwards. A new menu is fine. I don’t want a new soul.
Dimitri: Agreed. New chairs, yes. New soul, no. Now go home and sleep. Big day tomorrow.
Lena: Wait… do you hear that? There’s a van outside. With a big logo on it.
Dimitri: No. No, no, no. It’s not nine o’clock, it’s eleven at night!
Lena: Dimitri… they’re filming the „before” shots. Smile! Professional face!
Dimitri: Hide the glass! And somebody hold that fridge door!
